The curse of overpopulation

The news that Britain’s population is likely to soar over the next twenty years to a staggering 74 million should have environmentalists baying for Westminster politicians’ blood. Overpopulation is, after all, the biggest threat to our environment bar none! Yet the so-called “Green” Party and the host of “environmentalist” groups that are so vocal on lesser matters are noticeable by their absolute silence – just as they are when the vexed issue of ritual slaughter is raised. So why is it that Britain’s so-called “environmentalists” have so little to say when it comes to overpopulation? Well, we all know the answer to that one, don’t we! To oppose overpopulation is to oppose immigration and that would be “racist” wouldn’t it! So, to hell with the environment; the flooding of Britain with “enriching” migrants is far more important than the resultant destruction of our flora or fauna, isn’t it! We here at Land & People, as our readers, don’t share this view – we happen to believe that this country’s flora and fauna is important and should be protected from the consequences of immigration-fuelled overpopulation – which is just one reason that we and all true environmentalists, should be demanding an end to the curse of immigration.

On a related theme our attention today has been caught by an excellent article that has appeared on the site of the Green Arrow which begins:-

Whether I am a bigot or just one of the silent majority is yet to be determined, but I can’t deny the rising sense of outrage within me as we see cynical, politically driven gerrymandering and efforts to force demographic change without consultation upon the electorate by this disgraceful government. As if it wasn’t enough that they and the institutions they command are prepared to bend over backwards to appease minorities in the UK at the expense of our own people. I see parallels currently with the West as culture and the Fall of the Roman Empire. Beset by barbarians and weakened by excess we are like lambs to the slaughter. And it all starts with our politicians.

I am tired of listening to the excuses and weak justifications offered by those in power who have colluded in, or turned a blind eye to the swamping of our island (and I do mean swamping) by hundreds of thousands of immigrants both legal and illegal. Politicians who misuse statistics and dispense easy sound-bites to deny that this colonisation of our country is happening are cynically protecting their own interests. The latest insulting sop to public concern is nothing more than a stalling mechanism.

The list of trades/professions that the UK is allegedly using to restrict attempted entry even by legal migrants is so wide that virtually anyone can qualify. They range from specifics such as Aero-engineer through Highly skilled workers to Low skilled workers. If that isn’t a catch-all, I don’t know what is. Who decides what a highly or low skilled worker is? Gordon Brown’s promise to reduce the number of occupations qualifying under these rules is on the face of it encouraging until you see the detail. He is recommending reducing the number of Aero engineers we need here. – Not low skilled workers of which we already have many, many on benefits but Aero engineers. Now, I am not a geographer or an industrial statistician but exactly how many Aero engineers might now be forced to look elsewhere for work? My guess is that a calculator won’t be needed to count them up.

I couldn’t agree more with the article if I tried. It is so obvious that over population and damage to the environment goes hand in hand. As a person with more than a clue on Environmental issues (I am a Horticulturist with experience in Crops and plant breeding etc) I am well aware that through the Environment movements both professional and amateur runs rampant polital correctness. I would go as far as to say I believe the Environmental movements contain a large proportion of Anachists with left wing views who are using the Environment as a way of furthering their agenda of destabalising our country. This is evedent in the way that GM crops research has been targeted. Any genuaine Environmentalist knows deep down that the only way to save the Environment is to drasticely reduce population and produce better yielding crops. This is a world problem as damage to the Environment for example increasing Co2 and rising seas do not respect national boundries. I ask myself why the hell do we need over 6 billion people in the world and rising and why do we need our population to rise from 60 to 74 million over the next 20 years ? It doesn’t make sense. Nothing is as labour intensive as it used to be so the need for extra workers is not a valid reason.
